Math 11E - Today we completed Chapt 5 explorations 1 (#1-4) and 2 (#1,3). Away today were: Owen and Brian = late, but came for half, Jeremy M, Jeremy M, Brianne, Dan, Jordan, Genghis and Maeghan.
Eng 11 - Today we completed a poetry test and then registered for next semesters classes. (Away today were: Maeghan, Dan, Krista, Jeremy A, Cole, and Jordan)
SS11 - Today we review the Holocaust and watched a movie on it, then caught up on missing work and reviewed for our big test, which is happening on Monday - Chapters 1-5 module 2 quiz! (away today: Krista, Dan, and Amanda).

Today in Math and English we only had a couple of students show up (Owen, Brian, Brainne, Dan and Jeremy) so we combined classes with Andrew (grade 10 cohort) and watched a movie. Hopefully tomorrow will be better for attendance.

In Eng 11 we went over how to incorporate dialogue, then practice editing a paragraph. Once this was done we went into the lab a created a story using "Story Jumper". ( away today were: Owen and Cole - they went to lab instead of class, Rhiannon, Jordan, Brittany and Maeghan)
In SS11 we wrote the first big test, chapter 9-12. Once this was done we marked it and then reviewed chapter one. (away today were:Susan, Elizabeth, Riley, and Jordan)
* Some students have been coming in to make up missed work. There is a pro-d day tomorrow, but I will be around if your son / daughter, or you (the student) want to come in and catch-up.

English 11 - in English today we wrote out our essays, Monday we will proof read and edit. (away today was: (Elizabeth, Krista, Rhiannon, Cole).
SS11 - In class today we completed Quizlet for Chpt. 9, 10, 11, then we wrote a paragraph on lowering the voting age, and finally we started a Chpt. 11 PPT. We will continue the PPT on Monday. (Away today was Amanda B, Rhiannon, Krista, Riley, Brian and Elizabeth).

In English we read our novels and completed a outline for an expository essay we will be writing. (Jeremy A, Randal, Rhiannon, Cole, TJ, Jeremy M were away).
In SS11 we did questions from Chapter 9, completed the political tree diagram and filled in a political spectrum survey. (Rhiannon, Krista, Riley, Dan, Josh and Elizabeth were away).

In Eng 11 class today we reviewed run on sentences, capital letters and we practiced editing a paragraph - worksheets to be completed for each. (missing: TJ, Brittany, Rhiannon, Courtney, Maeghan, Krista, Brian).
In SS 11 class today I lectured Chpt 9 and then we completed our orientation assignments, finished our political party posters, and started Quizlet. (missing: Susan, Amanda, Rhiannon, Krista, TJ, Lysha, Riley, and Josh)

Eng 11: You received a reading novel and reviewed structure of an essay. Must complete a rough copy for tomorrow, topic of your choice.
SS11: Orientation and current event typed out and submitted in Web CT - good copies. Then you completed a review sheet on Provinces and Government info. Then a second WS - word search with definitions.
