Eng 11 - Today in English we completed our Short Story assignments, next day we will start our book reports.
SS11 - Today in Socials we completed chapter 3 and started chapter 4. Your chapter 3 work was due (old school assignment) and I handout chapter 4 assignment (poetry book).

Eng 11 - Today in Eng we started out final short story assignment : short story outline, proposal and good copy. We will have Monday as well to work on these, then we will move on to our book reports.

SS11 - Today in SS11 we finished up the last half of chapter 3 - I reminded most students to come see me tomorrow to catch-up on homework.

Today in Eng 11 we had a short story quiz, please come in on Friday if you haven't done it.

Today in SS we concluded WW1 - again - and then started to go through Chapt3. Make sure to come see me on Friday in order to catch up (shout out to everyone)!!!

Eng 11 - Today in Eng we went over dialogue and point of view, then we took a comic strip and put it in any order and wrote a short story based on what we saw. There needed to be three examples of dialogue used in it.

SS11 - Today we concluded WW1 and started Chpt 3. I collected chpt 2 and handed out chpt 3 assignments.

Eng 11 - Today we chose a picture and wrote a detailed / descriptive paragraph, each student was to describe the picture in such detail that when I read their paragraph I got the picture of what they were referencing in my head.

SS11 - Today we went through the second half of WW1 in Chapt 2, we will start chapter 3 on Monday.

Eng 11 - Today we completed a quick short story - review of plot. Once this was done we watched an episode of "The Office" and compled and assignment on direct and indirect characterization.

SS11 - Today in SS we went through the start of WW1, I reviewed some pictures and everyone took notes. Chpt 2 due Monday.

Eng 11 - Today we read a short story and pulled it apart looking at all the elements of plot. Next we read another and filled in a plot outline, then wrote a short story of our own.

SS 11 - Today in SS we reviewed how WW1 started, we looked at a map of europe, went through the first year of WW1 and then watched a video clip about the events. (Chapt 2 assignment due in one week).

Eng 11 - Today in English we went through plot, setting and mood for short stories. Then, we read three short stories and outlined the elements of plot. Finally, everyone wrote in their journals: started a short story, just focusing on the intro and all the essential elements.

SS11 - I went over test scores (come see me Friday if you missed last days test) and gave out the next chpater assignment (Chpt 2). After this I lectured chapter one and started chapter two, this is all about WW1 "The Great War".

To date I need: Chpt 9, 10, 11, and 12 assignments and module one test /36 mark test.

Eng 11 - Today we read our novels and then completed a worksheet on punctuation (editing practice). Next we went to the lab and completed our essays, those who were done studied for the SS11 test.

SS11 - We wrote the module one test Chpt 9-12 and then marked it. If you missed it then please come in on Friday.

Eng 11 - Today we typed the good copies of our expository essays - 20 more minutes on Tuesday. This is a 5 paragraph essay where you tell me about something, you choose the topic, I am looking for structure (intro, main body paragraphs, a conclusion, topic sentences and a thesis).

SS11 - In Socials today I finished lecturing chapt 12, then we completed assignments and studied. Module one test is Tuesday, chpt 9-12!!!

Eng 11 - Today in Eng we completed an Expository essay outline (50 marks). An expository essay is where you tell me about something. With the outline I need to see:

Intro - Hook and thesis
3 Main body paragraphs - Topic Sentence and 2 examples that support each.
Conclusion - Reiteration of thesis and summary

Thursday we will work on our good copies in the lab.

SS11 - Today we quickly went through the rest of Chapter 12 and then had our pictures done - picture day! We will finish Chapt 12 on Thursday and then study - Test Tuesday (no school monday because it is Thanks Giving).

Eng 11 - Today in Eng class we worked on our good copies of our process paragraphs.

SS11 - Today in SS 11 we discussed the death penalty and Human Rights - chapt 12. Then I collected chpt 11 work and distributed chapt 12 homework - super learning!
